Imagénie offers a variety of Acoustic and Sound test procedures, all designed and standardized by recognized organizations including ANSI/AHRI, AMCA and ISO. 

Imagénie uses calibrated equipment to complete ROOM ACOUSTIC TESTS as well as ON-SITE MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SOUND TESTS. Our Bruel & Kjaer 2270 Acoustic meter has the ability to satisfy recognized testing procedures described below. AHRI 260

Sound power ratings for air handling units are in the form of octave band Sound Power Levels (dB) from 63 to 8000 Hz derived from one-third octave band measurements. AHRI 260 requires the use of a reverberant chamber or sound intensity measurements according to ISO 9614.  The sound measurement equipment used by Imagénie allows sound testing to ISO 9614 in your facility!

ISO 9614

ISO 9614- specifies a method for measuring the sound power of a source in situ, meaning in a mechanical room or in a factory.  The use of this method to rate the sound power levels of machines eliminates the need for costly anechoic or reverberant chambers.

ANSI/AHRI Standard 370 (I-P) 

In some cases, sound power can be derived from radiated sound when a unit is installed outdoors.  Imagénie can provide AHRI 370 ratings where ambient background noise permits.

ANSI/ASA S12.72 

In occupied spaces, ANSI/ASA S12.72 is used to determine the room RC or NC levels.  

Municipal standards

Imagénie can measure sound pressure levels at property lines to determine compliance with local bylaws.  In addition, the equipment used by Imagénie can perform sound source identification to positively identify the noise source or the direction that a particular sound is coming from.
